Style, professionalism and personality.
Three key points that should align with your vision for the day.
The Style of your wedding
Before getting overwhelmed by the endless options of wedding photographers out there, narrow your choices by understanding & picking the wedding style that expresses you. Traditional, Documentary, Fine Art, Editorial, Alternative. Usually, every professional reflects their own style through their photos, from the poses & the angles of their shots down to their editing. In order to have the results you’re looking for in your photos, it’s important that the photographer of your choice matches your own favorite style.
Research & Feedback
Compare the photographers who are most suitable for you by A) viewing the complete gallery of existing work on their officially websites and not just a few instagram posts and B) reading reviews and testimonials from previous couples.
Set your budget early.
Make sure the photographer’s pricing is reasonable in comparison to the editing process & delivery time, the hours of coverage suffice and the services included cover your needs. Keep in mind that exceeding your budget or spending less than you’ve planned is not necessarily a bad or good thing. Spending less does not go hand in hand with having poor results just as spending more doesn’t always guarantee better ones.
Don’t hesitate to meet your photographer.
Schedule an appointment for a virtual meeting where you can get to know the people behind the screen and connect with them. Communicate, exchange ideas and build trust beforehand in order to secure a friendly relationship in which you feel comfortable. Having a team with whom you can be yourself with, people who understand you and your thoughts should be your top priority when it comes to finalizing your decision.
